Type Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What vaccines are required?
Dogs: Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper Parvo, & K9 Flu. Cats: Rabies, & FVRCP. Jackson Country Kennel must have written proof from your vet that your pet is up to date on all of it’s vaccines prior to coming to JCK. In order to protect your pet as well as all other guests at the kennel, we will not be able to board or bathe any pet that is not up to date on all of their vaccines.
Do I have to bring my own dog food?
We strongly encourage you to bring your own dog food. Any changes in your pets eating habits could lead to an upset stomach. We ask that you bring your pets food in a sealed airtight container or zip-lock bag. If your pet requires medication, we ask that you bring the medication in its original container.
Are reservations required?
Yes, we require reservations to ensure that all of our guests have a place to stay. We tend to book up very fast (especially on holidays, school breaks, and over the summer) so we strongly encourage clients to make reservations as soon as possible!
What is the check-out time?
We have a check out time of noon each day just like a hotel. You are not required to pick your pet up by noon, however if you do pick up after noon you will be billed for that day. For example, if you drop off on a Friday and pick up that Sunday, you will be charged for Friday night, Saturday night, and for the day on Sunday since we only offer afternoon pick up.
Are you closed on certain holidays?
Yes, we are closed on the following holidays:
New Years Eve (closed at noon)
New Years Day
4th of July
Day after Thanksgiving
While we are closed to the public, our guests will still be receiving care and getting played with!
Can I tour your facility?
Yes! We highly encourage you to tour the facility before you make a reservation. Tours are by appointment only.
